Senior Connections Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day
A happy St. Patrick’s Day at the High School
Senior Connections, sponsored by the Garden City School District, celebrated Saint Patrick’s Day in a special way at the High School. They were invited to Mrs. Pat Muller’s Culture and Foods class to bake Irish Soda Bread. This was the culmination of the students’ study of Ireland. The Seniors and students worked together to mix the ingredients while Irish music played in the background. When the breads were baking, the groups were given a quiz about Ireland while Mrs. Muller passed around her “Pot of Gold” candy. After refreshments were served in the Faculty Room, each Senior Citizen picked up a bread to take home. This event was one of the highlights of the year.
