Betty Gross, Outreach Specialist Betty Gross, Outreach Specialist from Roslyn-based Child Abuse Prevention Services (CAPS) will address a meeting of the American Association of University Women on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. at the Garden City Public Library. Founded in 1982, CAPS is the leading organization on Long Island dedicated to preventing child abuse and promoting child safety through educational programs for students, teachers and the community. CAPS has developed age-appropriate presentations and projects for each school level which focus on prevention of bullying, sexual harassment, abuse and neglect, and date rape. By educating students, teachers and the community, CAPS programs aim to provide the necessary tools for children to achieve individual success in a safe and secure environment, whether at home, in school or in the community. Co-chairs Christine Marcin and Jean Schmutz cordially invite the public to attend this informative program. The American Association of University Women promotes equity for women and girls, life-long education and self-development, and positive societal change.
