Garden City Girl Scouts thank you for donating cookies, cards and letters to our military personnel overseas. Almost 600 boxes of Girls Scout Cookies arrived in Iraq on Saturday, thanks to the Girl Scouts of Garden City and their families and friends who supported our ‘Troops Helping Troops’ cookie program. In addition to the cookies, many scouts made creative cards, wrote thoughtful letters and sent photos to the soldiers. The soldier who received the shipment wrote, “I picked up the cookies this afternoon with the help of some of my very motivated soldiers...please let the Girl Scouts know how appreciative and grateful all of our soldiers are. It really makes a difference.”
