Mr. Phillips calling bingo numbers with the help of Tim Holman and Tim Harder.Mr. Phillips calling bingo numbers with the help of Tim Holman and Tim Harder. On Wednesday, March 16, the Andy Foundation held its First Annual Bingo event. Proceeds went to a child from Long Island, Jack McBride who is fighting leukemia and awaiting a bone marrow transplant at St. Judes Hospital in Tennessee. Children of all ages participated in the event on their day off from school to benefit Jack. The Andy Foundation would like to give a special thanks to the bingo announcer, Mr. Ed Phillips who came out of retirement to help the foundation. Children participated in all different bingo games and the winners received gift baskets full of prizes. A special thanks to Mrs. Confort for arranging the gift baskets: everybody enjoyed their wonderful prizes. We also would like to thank Coldstone Creamery for generously donating the delicious ice cream cakes. Coldstone would like to announce their grand opening of a new location on Franklin Avenue. Please join your friends at Coldstone on April 2 nd, the grand opening. 25% of the daily proceeds from that day’s sales will go to the Andy Fund. Thanks to everybody who participated in this fun day, we raised over $2,500 for Jack. For more information regarding the Andy Fund log onto www.theandyfund.com
