News From The Children

Mrs. Joanne Van Meter, Head of the Children’s Department, would like to inform Garden City residents of staff changes. Mrs. Kelly now heads the Young Adult Department, replacing Laura Hoffman. Over the summer, Ms. Grace joined us as a full-time Children’s Librarian. She previously worked part-time in the Adult reference department and as a School Library Media Specialist. On March 21, we welcomed our newest member, Mrs. Sandra DeCarle. She previously worked as a Children’s Librarian in the Westchester Library system.

On March 19, 2005, Garden City residents in Grades K-5 enjoyed the program Chocolates with Marie. Everyone who attended had a great time.
