The joy of the holiday season was in the air as the Garden City Auxiliary of the Association for the Help of Retarded Children held its 41st annual Christmas Luncheon at the Garden City Hotel. Guests enjoyed unique holiday shopping, an exciting professional fashion show and a delicious meal. Many guests were the lucky recipients of spectacular raffle prizes. The top prize, the “I Love New York” weekend for two, was sponsored by the Carlyle Hotel, Garden City’s Travel Gallery and the Golden family. The winner of this prize was Wilma Perlman. The luncheon brought together so many of those dedicated to helping children and adults with retardation, autism and other types of developmental disability. Many lives will be improved through the generosity of AHRC’s supporters.
