Garden City High School’s Fine Art Exhibition At The Garden City Public Library

Garden City High School’s 12 th Grade Advanced Placement art students will exhibit a variety of work in the Garden City Public Library’s gallery March 2-30, 2005 . View 20 pieces created by 10 senior students under the direction of instructor Diane Veitch. The class executed work in various styles, subjects and media including: acrylic paint, pastels and black and white ebony pencil drawings.

Showcase Display: Garden City Girl Scouts

The Garden City Girl Scouts will display hand-made crafts created by local troops in the Garden City Public Library’s showcases March 2-30, 2005 . This exhibit will represent 47 troops including: Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette and Senior.

Free Irish Performance: “A Quiet Ceile: Celtic Heritage”

Come to a Free performance of “A Quiet Ceile: Celtic Heritage” at 2:30 pm on Thursday, March 17, 2005 at the Garden City Public Library. Michael Goudket and Emily Bader of Musica Dolce will bring Irish and Scottish music, stories, and history to life. Dressed in period costume, our performers will replicate the sound of traditional 19 th century Irish music using harp, violin, and folk instruments. There will be plenty of amusing blarney, as well as audience participation. Get ready to sing along!
