Cub Scouts Celebrate Holidays
From Left: Alex Halka, Brendan Fitzsimons, Mike Padala, Dan Muscatiello, Matt Abruzzo and Alex Kinn explained how Christmas is celebrated abroad.
Cub Scout Pack 55, chartered by the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Garden City, celebrated the holiday season at their monthly pack meeting on December 20. The scouts learned how Christmas is celebrated around the world and then brought this information to their meeting to share with others. Most dens sang a song of Christmas from a foreign land or told a traditional Christmas story, affiliated with a foreign country. After the meeting, local cookies and cakes were shared among the boys and their siblings. The night was concluded with a visit from the big man himself, Santa Claus, who spread a litter cheer.
Some of the younger members of the pack enjoyed their time with Santa Claus.
