The Garden City Recreation Department is excited to announce the first in a series of special trips for our senior population. Our first trip will be to the Philadelphia Flower Show on Wednesday, March 9. The theme of this year’s flower show is “America the Beautiful.” Enjoy the beautiful displays of great gardens and landscapes, as well as thousands of beautiful plants and floral designs.

This trip is open to any senior aged 60 or older who is a resident of the Inc. Village of Garden City. The price of the trip will be $60. Space is very limited, so if you are interested, please visit the Recreation Office in Village Hall to reserve your spot. Payment must accompany registration. Checks must be made payable to “Prime Time Travel.” For further information, please call 465-4075.

On New Years Eve between the hours of 6 to 8 p.m. a Ford sedan was hit on the drivers side, while parked on the west side of Magnolia Avenue in front of 70 Magnolia Avenue. Please contact 516-746-2394 with any information on the identity of the vehicle that broadsided the car. Thank you.
