The Recreation Department is pleased to offer the Seniors of the Village of Garden City their own tennis lesson time. Lessons will be available in 5 week blocks on Fridays from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at our Community Park Tennis Facility. The cost of each five week session will be $100. Our January session will begin on Friday, January 14. To register for this program, visit the Recreation Office in Village Hall.

Intergenerational Workshop On Life Stories

Ms. Mary Dwyer will be the featured workshop leader at the Intergenerational Writers’ Workshop which will be conducted for senior citizen residents and young adults in grades 6, 7, and 8. The Workshop will be held for two sessions on Saturday, February 5, and Saturday, February 12 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Small Meeting Room, (lower level). Elevator available. Refreshments.

Ms. Dwyer, workshop leader, has been a teacher in the East Williston School District for 27 years and has conducted workshops for the New York Council of English Teacher and the New York State Department of Education. Registration is currently available for senior residents and students in the Middle School.
