Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto (third from right) and Councilman Chris J. Coschignano (second from left) recently attended the 2004 Badge of Courage Gala at the Cradle of Aviation Museum at Mitchel Field in Garden City and joined in recognizing the event’s honorees.

The evening benefited the development of the Francis X. Pendl Nassau County Firefighters Museum and Education Center, which aims to pay tribute to Nassau County’s firefighters, teach visitors about the history of the local fire service and educate residents about fire safety. Councilman Coschignano, who is a member of the Badge of Courage Gala Committee, joined with Supervisor Venditto in presenting citations to Angelo Catalano (center), chairperson of the Nassau County Firefighters Museum and Education Center and Arthur Glatfelter (second from left) of the Glatfelter Insurance Group, recognizing their staunch support of the Nassau County Fire Service and the development of the Firefighters Museum. Also on hand were District Court Judge Margaret C. Reilly, Nassau County Legislator Ed Mangano and Ed Reilly of the Nassau County Vocational Educational & Extension Board, who is vice president of the Friends of the Nassau County Firefighter Museum and Education Center.
