PO Hennessy, while on routine patrol at Garden City/Boylston Street on January 10, at 4:17 a.m., observed a motorist driving in a suspicious manner, and when that motorist failed to stop at a stop sign the officer attempted to pull him over. The motorist, a 39-year-old Roslyn man refused, and the police followed him throughout the eastern section of the Village for 5 minutes before he stopped, at Lefferts Road/Transverse Road. The man also refused arrest; he had over 23 traffic violations at that point, which included going through traffic lights and stop signs as well as reckless driving.
