Jewish Center Celebrates Chanukah

Jeremy Friedman and his mom. On the evening of Friday, December 10th, Chanukah was celebrated at the Garden City Jewish Center with the annual Latke and Dessert Party. Each family brought a menorah to light, and enjoyed potato pancakes and applesauce, followed by make-your-own ice cream sundaes.

A service in the sanctuary followed the festivities, featuring Rabbi Stephen Goodman reading holiday stories to everyone by candlelight, and a flute and french horn choir entertaining young and old with Chanukah songs.

Courtney Sokol and her mom enjoyed the latkes and ice cream sundaes. This family enjoyed spending time together. A. J. Werner got a big hug from his mom. Roey and Madden Klass and their parents.
