Yetman-Broocks Wedding

Photo By Glenmar Studio Mr. and Mrs. Gary Yetman of Garden City and Montauk are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Katherine Leigh to William Cary Broocks, son of Ms. Molly Broocks of Richmond, Virginia and Mr. Stephen Broocks of Willliamsburg, Virginia. The ceremony took place at six o’clock in the evening on July 9, 2004 at Saint Anne’s Church in Garden City. Father Patrick Riegger celebrated the Mass.

The bride is the granddaughter of Dorothy Knapp and the late Victor Knapp, and Mary Yetman and the late Jack Yetman, all of New York. Cary is the grandson of Margaret Darden and the late William Darden of Maryland and Robert Broocks and the late Caroline Broocks of Virginia.

Sandra Yetman of New York, the bride’s sister, served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Elizabeth Broocks of Virginia, the groom’s sister, Colleen Connor, Lauren Hess, Colleen Madison, Katherine Ribbentrop, all of New York, Anna Kusterer of Virginia, and Lee Bruner of South Carolina.

Charles Dickinson of Virginia served as the groom’s best man. Groomsmen included Daniel Yetman of New York, brother of the bride, Darden Pickall of Maryland, the groom’s cousin, Mark Fonville, Henry Christner, and Randolph Marcus, all of Virginia.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Cherry Valley Country Club. The reception was held at The Garden City Hotel. Flowers by Brian provided the floral arrangements, and The Ron James Orchestra entertained for the evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Cary Broocks reside in Richmond. Kasey is a second grade teacher for Henrico County Public Schools, and Cary is employed by Empire Marble and Granite Company. The couple is looking forward to a honeymoon in the spring.
