An Intergenerational Writers’ Workshop will be conducted for senior citizens and young adults in grades 6, 7, and 8 at two sessions on Saturday, February 5th, and Saturday, February 12th from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Small Meeting Room, (lower level, Elevator available).

The subject will be a personal narrative and the final collaborative piece will result in a poem or narrative. Participants must be Garden City young adults in Grades 6, 7, and 8 and Garden City senior citizens (elevator available). Refreshments will be served.

The outstanding Workshop Leader will be Mary Ita Dwyer, who has been a teacher in the East Williston School District for 27 years. Ms. Dwyer has conducted various workshops for the New York Council of English Teachers and the New York State Department of Education.
