AHRC Christmas Luncheon, Fashion Show

The annual AHRC gala Christmas luncheon and fashion show will take place on Tuesday, December 7 at the Garden City Hotel. This event is sponsored by the Garden City Auxiliary, Association for the Help of Retarded Children, Nassau County (AHRC) benefiting children and adults with retardation, autism and other developmental disabilities. The excitement begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Terrace Room with boutique shopping and cocktails followed by a luncheon and fashion show at 12:30 p.m. in the grand ballroom.

In place are vendors with an elegant array of jewelry, handbags, hats, scarves and shawls, hand dipped chocolates, gifts for the home, and more. The fashion show hosted by Darlene Camille, professional fashion show producer, highlights the latest designs by Anne Fontaine, Barbatsuly, Bridal Reflections, Ellen Tracy and Ferragamo. Raffles are also offered with top prizes including the “I Love New York” package, an all expense paid weekend for two at the Carlyle Hotel plus $500 cash, compliments of the Carlyle Hotel, Garden City’s Travel Gallery, and the Golden family. The Garden City Hotel “Classic” raffle is an exciting overnight stay for two at the Garden City Hotel featuring an American Breakfast plus a come-back-again for Sunday Brunch for two. There are also thirty-nine special gifts included in the “39 Precious Gifts” raffle.

The tradition is the Auxiliary’s most successful fund raiser and is expected to be a sell-out. So please make your reservations early, by December 1. Tickets are $75 per person.
