Students at St Joseph School have been working on many projects this year with increased hands on experience in the Science lab. Under the direction of faculty member Irene Florio, the children were able to work with new equipment and visual aids that greatly enhances the learning environment. Sixth graders have been working on constructing three dimensional models representing the double helix of a DNA molecule. Third grade students have been receiving instruction on the use of microscopes. The children were able to effectively utilize the equipment to help them unravel the biological mysteries of a frog. The increased time spent in the learning lab has been a fun filled adventure for all of our young scientists in training
