Guidance Counselor Natasha Kahn and Corene Norniella Corene Norniella, a senior at Garden City High School, has been awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from the Army for her efforts in organizing a neighborhood project to consolidate food and supplies that were sent to Iraq for the members of the 204 th Forward Support Battalion, during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Her selfless initiative displayed genuine appreciation of the Army’s efforts and greatly enhanced the morale of the unit’s troops.

Corene’s support of our troops is commendable. Her certificate from the U.S. Army states:

“In recognition of your contributions in support of the 204 th Forward Support Battalion, 41D (M) - during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Your contributions were greatly appreciated by the soldiers of the “Roughrider” Battalion. Thank you for your support to Operation Iraqi Freedom and our great nation.”
