T.R.A.C.K.S. Program At Hemlock

Jack Mahland, Mia Minuto, Jack Bingham, Officer Willis, Tyler Okada, Emma Wieland and Emily Clarke. The children of Hemlock School participated in the Long Island Railroad T.R.A.C.K.S. Program (Together Railroads And Communities Keeping Safe) on November 16.

Officer Willis of the MTA Police Department came to Hemlock to speak. The focus of his talk was basic train safety, including the importance of staying off the tracks, platform safety and the dangers associated with railroad crossings. Along with the very timely safety tips presented by Officer Willis, a video was shown and each child received a coloring book to take home.
