When the Library opens at 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 18 th, tickets will be distributed for the Children’s Room Holiday show, Magic Beyond Imagination with Magic Bob McEntee. This is a one-hour show and is appropriate for children age 4 through Grade 5 and will be performed on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at 11 a.m. Treat your children to an exciting show by magician, Bob McEntee during the holiday vacation.

At 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 30 th the Children’s Room will be showing the film, The Three Musketeers for the entire family. This 68 minute film of the classic story is the Disney version with Mickey Mouse in character. It is G-rated. Refreshments will be served.

New! The Children’s Department will be holding a Winter Reading Club - Join the IditaREAD! Registration and the club will begin on January 17 th and conclude February 5 th. This activity and all the storytimes, book discussions, special programs schedules for both preschool and school-age children are listed on the new flyers available in the Children’s Room. Registration for the Winter/Spring Season is scheduled to begin on January 3, 2005. As in the Fall, you may register online at www.nassaulibrary.org/gardenc/ or in person in the Children’s Room. The storytimes will begin on January 18 th.

Library programs are presented, free of charge, through the generosity of the Friends of the Garden City Public Library.
