police report: mischief & mayhem

On Thanksgiving weekend , police arrested 3 people for alleged DWI during their patrols. In addition, 4 local youths were arrested for the possession of alcohol... on nov. 23, during that day, at a Roosevelt Street residence someone stole a $250 storm door, which had been placed on the side of the house... on nov. 22, 10 p.m., PO Madden arrested a 34-year-old Baldwin man for aggravated unlicensed operation 22nd degree at Franklin Avenue (5 suspensions, 5 dates). The motorist was also cited for not wearing a seatbelt and for cell phone... between nov. 19 and 23 , someone entered a Nassau Blvd. residence and stole $6,000 in jewelry. An investigation is continuing... on nov. 22, 11:40 a.m., a man described as Hispanic, 36 years old, wearing a black jacket, stole a 2004 Apex LCD television valued at $699.99, at Sears, Franklin Avenue... on nov. 23, two people reported that their locked lockers were missing items. One person found that a $2500 Rolex watch was missing, while the other person found a $300 money clip, and $1,000 in US currency was missing... on nov. 26, 5:55 p.m. , police arrested a 21-year-old Geinesville Florida woman for attempted grand larceny 4th degree after she allegedly took over $2300 in merchandise at Lord and Taylor. She was also charged with the possession of burglar tools... a 31-year-old wantagh woman reported that someone had stolen her $475 Louis Vitton handbag containing $140 in U.S. currency, personal papers, and credit cards, at the Posh club, G.C. Hotel, on Nov. 25... on nov. 26, 1:05 p.m. , a man described as white, 6’ tall, with wavy gray, collar length hair allegedly inappropriately touched a 38-year-old Stewart Manor woman at the GC Library... a truck stop was held on Nov. 29 at Clinton Rd. 13 trucks were taken out of service. There was one aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd degree and 1 truck was overweight... a dell laptop valued at $2500 was stolen from a Franklin Ave. office between Nov. 24 and 29... on nov. 29 , a black leather wallet containing $30 in US currency and credit cards was stolen from a hand bag at a Franklin Ave. Office... on nov. 30, 8:45 p.m. , a 27-year-old Jamaica man, an employee at Lord and Taylor, allegedly stealing 2 Gucci handbags and 1 Juicy bag, with a value of over $2,000, at Lord and Taylor on Nov. 30.

a fire alarm occurred at a Magnolia Ave. Residence on Nov. 25... a sewer backed up in the basement of Franklin Ave. Realty on Nov. 27... a gas leak occurred at a Seventh St. business on the same day... a booster/biosolve was used to clean a spill on Rockaway Ave. on Nov. 28... hot wax activated an alarm at Red Door Spas on Nov. 29... an electrical outlet sparked at a Merillon Ave. house on Nov. 30... a truck fire occurred on franklin ave. on the same day. The FD answered a call for an unknown odor at a Pine St. house on Nov. 30, and found that a boiler had run out of water.
