Megan Zarriello Meghan Zarriello, a sixth grader at the Garden City Middle School, has been selected into New York State’s Olympic Development Program as one of the top Girls U-12 soccer players in the downstate region. This region encompasses Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, Brooklyn, Westchester, Staten Island and Manhattan. Megan will now have the opportunity to train and play with some of the best soccer players in the state.

Megan played intramurals fort Garden City and started playing travel soccer with what is now the youth program for the Long Island Rough Riders, Long Island’s only professional soccer team. Megan has been a member of their Super Y League developmental team. Currently, Megan also plays travel soccer for the Franklin Square Elite and is coached by former U.S. National Team and professional soccer player Peter Zaratin.
