AHRC volunteers take a break. They met recently at the lovely home of Sue Caccamo to mail invitations for the upcoming Christmas Luncheon and Fashion Show to be held Tuesday, December 7, at the Garden City Hotel. AHRC Auxiliary volunteers met recently to mail invitations for the upcoming annual Christmas Luncheon and Fashion Show benefiting children and adults with retardation, autism and other developmental disabilities.

This wonderful annual holiday fund raiser, sponsored by the Garden City Auxiliary, Association for the Help of Retarded Children, Nassau County (AHRC) will take place on Tuesday, December 7 at the Garden City Hotel. Boutique shopping and cocktails begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Terrace Room and are followed by a delicious luncheon and glittering fashion show at 12:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom.

Vendors this year will offer an elegant array of boutique giftware including jewelry, handbags, hats, shawls and scarves, hand dipped chocolates, gift items for the home, and more. The high-style fashion show presented by Darlene Camille, professional host and fashion show producer, will highlight the latest fashion designs by Anne Fontaine, Barbatsuly, Bridal Reflections, Ellen Tracy and Ferragamo.

Raffles for top prizes include the “I Love New York” package, an exciting all expense paid weekend for two at the Carlyle Hotel plus $500 cash, compliments of the beautiful Carlyle Hotel, Garden City’s Travel Gallery, and the Golden family. An additional offering is the Garden City Hotel “Classic,” a wonderful over night stay for two at the Garden City Hotel featuring an American breakfast plus a come-back-again for Sunday brunch for two. Or, you could win one of thirty-nine very special, valuable prizes on the “39 Precious Gifts” raffle.
