Student council representatives show a sample of the books collected to benefit Mercy Medical Center The Student council at St Joseph School in Garden City has been working on their first community service project of the year. Under the direction of faculty member Ms. Irene Florio the children have been collecting books for Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Center. The books will be used in the Emergency Room's Pediatric waiting area and the new Pediatric floor in the Hospital. Each year the Students at St. Joseph School try to develop projects that allow the children to reach out to the community and become involved. This was truly a "KID TO KID" project and a job well done.
