To develop a better understanding of the changing seasons and to celebrate the arrival of fall, the seven kindergarten classes at Homestead School visited the Pumpkin Farm at Martin Viette’s Nursery. The children were treated to a hayride through the pumpkin fields. They also visited the petting zoo, where they feed sheep, goats, cows and ducks. Each child went home with a pumpkin, an apple and a plant to put in the garden. The colorful fall scenery and beautiful weather made it a memorable trip enjoyed by children, parents and teachers.
