Masquers’ Fall Production Under Way

Garden City High School’s Masquers Theater Company has started rehearsing for its fall production, Blithe Spirit . The show, a comedy written by British playwright Noel Coward, will be performed on Friday, November 19 th and Saturday, November 20 th at 8:00 p.m.

The comedy, directed by Masquers advisor Ms. Patrice Valenti, tells the story of novelist Charles Condomine (played by Jason Butler) who invites psychic Madame Arcati (Leah Munnelly) to join his second wife Ruth (Nicole Mercer) and two friends (Clare Hartigan and Ryan Torino) in a séance at his home. Charles intends to pick up a few “tricks of the trade” from Madame Arcati, but in the process, his deceased first wife Elvira (Ashley Koretz) is called back from the dead and appears in his living room! The only problem is that Charles is the only person that can actually see and hear her! The show is sure to be full of laughs and fun for all, young and old!

Blithe Spirit , starring Jason Butler, Nicole Mercer, Ashley Koretz, and Leah Munnelly and featuring Clare Hartigan, Ryan Torino, and Erin Lynch, will be playing in the Inez Norman Spiers Theater at Garden City High School on Friday, November 19 th and Saturday, November 20 th at 8:00 p.m. Ticket prices are $8 for senior citizens, children, and students with G.O. cards and $10 for adults.
