Christian Ferzola gets ready to battle. Last Sunday the Thunder ten year old white team took on last year’s defending champions, the Massapequa Mustangs.

The team was up for the tough challenge. The battle had Massapequa ahead 6-0 at the half. Great defense by Christian Ferzola, Matt Fox, Bill Connors, Jake Schlapp, Pat Murphy, Serafino Danza and Dennis Armstrong shut down the Mustangs on many drives.

Trailing 14-0 in the second half, Eddie Tigh broke outside for a long touchdown run. Andrew Calabro caught the extra point, making the score 14-7. The front line of Nick Scheppa, Andre Stone, Dan Marino, Keith Blazer and Rob Savage opened up big holes for the backs.

Thunder team tackling. The team ran out of time on it’s final drive, and the game ended at 14-7. Nest week they take on Elmont. GO THUNDER!
