Dorothy L. Haas

Dorothy L. (Conners) Haas, 87, of 140 Cook Hill Rd., died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004 at Elim Park Baptist Home. She was the widow of Aloysius Haas.

Mrs. Haas was born Jan. 16, 1917 in Jersey City, NJ, daughter of the late George and Margaret (Schuler) Conners and had lived in Garden City for many years before moving to Cheshire in 1994. She was a retired secretary for the New York school system and had been a communicant of St. Anne’s Church in Garden City.

She leaves two sons, George C. Haas of Cheshire, CT, and Richard M. Haas of Annapolis, Md.; a daughter, Catherine Korda of Toluca Lake, Calif., and five grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anne’s Church. 35 Dartmouth St., Garden City, NY. Burial will follow in Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY. There are no calling hours. The Slater Funeral Home, 242 So. Main St., Cheshire, is in charge of arrangements.
