Dr. Richard Bimler presents the 2004 Youth Health and Hope Award to Garden City resident Hannah Bulle. Hannah Bulle, a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Garden City, was named recipient of the 2004 Youth Health and Hope Award presented by Wheat Ridge Ministries on July 26 at the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod National Youth Gathering in Orlando.

Hannah was one of 21 youths selected by Wheat Ridge to receive this award because of her strong leadership skills and commitment to Christian service at her church and school and in her community.

“The leadership and service of these young people in their churches, schools and communities is outstanding,” said Dr. Richard Bimler, president of Wheat Ridge Ministries. “Their care and concern for those suffering in body, mind and spirit is making a significant difference.”

Hannah has been a dedicated leader in her congregation and community, serving the Lord in many capacities. She is an active member of the youth group and participates in the weekly prayer breakfast and Sunday morning Youth Forum. She assists with Vacation Bible School, Childrens Church and in the Church nursery. Hannah participated in a mission trip to Honduras last summer where she helped build houses and a church, distributed food and clothing, and assisted at medical clinics. She plans to go to Honduras again this year.

Hannah was nominated by Marie Dettling, Church Council/Youth and Children’s Ministries, who said, “Hannah works hard at all that she does and realizes that her blessings come from God. She is a fine Christian and a wonderful role model for all people, young and old.”

Hannah and her parents, Ralph and Laura Bulle, reside in Garden City. She has two sisters, Emily and Meridel.
