For the past two years, The Garden City Community Fund distributed a luminary to every resident in the village. This year, luminaries will not be distributed, but all residents are invited to light your own candle at dusk this Saturday evening, Sept 11, 2004. Please consider continuing this symbolic tradition in remembering those who were taken from us by the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

Prior to sundown this Saturday, Sept. 11th , all residents of the village are requested to join together by lighting a memorial candle as a sign of our remembrance. Please place a candle in a safe receptacle at the front of your home and bring in before you go to bed. Please offer assistance to your neighbors if needed, so we can light up our village as we have in the past.
