Village Sports
      Connie McKnight, our certified yoga instructor, has designed adult yoga classes with all ages in mind. Each class is one hour long. All classes are held in Cluett Hall at St. Paul’s and will begin the week of September 13. Any resident of the Inc. Village of Garden City is invited to join these relaxing classes.

Trojans Open Football Season At Home Tuesday
      For the first time since Garden City High began playing varsity football in 1933, the opening day of school is also the opening game of the football season. Next Tuesday, September 7, Mepham visits Warren King Field for a 3:30 game that will mark the beginning of Garden City’s defense of its Long Island Class II title.

What a season!” The Garden City Recreation Department Women’s Summer Softball League came to a close on Tuesday, August 24th with the Walk Street Tavern Team coming out as the winners for the second year in a row!  It was a nail biter with the Walk Street Tavern coming out on top 9-8!
