Middle School Students Exhibit Artwork In Albany
      Two eighth grade art students in Ms. Lori Rousku’s class, Connor McCullough (left) and Emily Schlapp (right), were chosen to exhibit their artwork at the 20th Annual Legislative Student Art Exhibition hosted by New York State Art Teacher’s Association (NYSATA). The exhibition took place in Albany’s Legislative Office Building from February 22 -26, 2010.

Stewart And Stratford Students Volunteer As Little Doctors
      A total of 202 pints of blood were collected at Garden City’s Stewart and Stratford Schools during their recent blood drives. Assisting with the event were “Little Doctors,” students trained by Long Island Blood Services (LIBS) to assist with greeting the donors, providing them with juice and cookies after donating blood, and writing thank you notes.

St. Joseph School Marches in St. Patrick’s Parade
      Irish eyes were smiling on the many participants of the St. Patrick’s Day parade last week. St. Joseph School, over 150 marchers strong, marched in the beautiful sunshine to the sounds of the pipes and drums and cheers from school supporters. The award-winning band led the group of parents, teachers, students and alumni behind the school colors and banner.
