GC For A Cure
      The Garden City Teacher Association (GCTA) is hosting its first annual “GC For A Cure” on Saturday, April 17th, 2010 at the Garden City High School. The 5K Run/Walk will take place at 9:45AM and the 1.5 Mile Run/ Walk will start at 9:00AM. All Race/Walk proceeds will benefit Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC).

Marion Klupka Awarded Bishop’s Medal
      Marion Ethel Klupka, a parishioner at Christ Episcopal Church in Garden City for more than fifty years, was awarded the Bishop’s Medal from the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island for her devoted service to her parish. She received the medal on St. Valentine’s Day which was appropriate in light of her loving family and parish family surrounding her.
